har man råd med? ja! men kan man köpa en likvärdig olja eller bättre? för 30 kr/litern i 20 liters dunk så är det ju bra!:eviltongue:
Känns som de man lägger på olja är de billigaste inom skoterhobbyn! Så då kan man lika gärna köra på"rätt" olja!
All olja som är godkänd för E-tec är ju rätt olja så att =)
Vet på min golf skickade jag med egen olja som var vw 507.00 specad, sparade 1800 spänn vid service av bilen pga av det...
Så länge oljan klarar rätt spec är det bara köra påt!
Om ÅF säger att garantin inte täcker ett haveri för att du har kört på fel olja då? Även fast den är godkänd, men fel märke.
Det skulle vara en intressant fråga att ställa till en konsumentvägledare att borra i.
Skulle inte bli förvånad om svaret är densamma som i NA dvs säger GA/ÅF att det är denna olja som gäller så ska de hålla kunden med den gratis.
Som sagt, uppfyller oljan kraven är det bara köra!

oljebolag i NA har också bråkat med BRP runt 2010och utfallet var detta (långt var det också)
Amsoil sued ski doo using this law and won. Ski doo agreed to change the language in thier owners manuals. see below:
OBJECTIVE:
1. Communicate a significant language change in BRP’s warranty
policy.
2. Communicate that the use of AMSOIL lubricants in BRP
snowmobile and ATV engines will not place warranties at risk.
3. Assure customers that AMSOIL synthetic lubricants meet or
exceed the performance requirements of BRP snowmobile and
ATV engines.
TECHNICAL DISCUSSION:
AMSOIL customers who recently purchased a Ski-Doo snowmobile
or Can-Am ATV were advised that it was necessary to
use BRP-branded lubricants or risk the loss of warranty coverage.
Customers were referring to language found in multiple
Ski-Doo and Can-Am operator’s guides that instructed use
of only a specified BRP synthetic lubricant. Further, the
guides state “Use of other engine oils may cause severe engine
damage and may void the limited warranty” (3)(4). Additional
BRP operator’s guides state there is “no known equivalent”
(1)(4) to the branded BRP lubricant on the market.
AMSOIL confronted BRP about the warranty language in its
operator’s guides. Specifically, AMSOIL asserted that the
warranty language violated the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act,
a federal law which prohibits manufacturers from requiring
the use of a branded service/replacement part unless the branded
service/replacement part is provided free of charge.
AMSOIL emphasized that its synthetic lubricants meet or
exceed the engine performance requirements for both two- and
four-cycle engines used in power sports equipment.
BRP, while denying that its warranty language violated the
Magnuson Moss Warranty Act or any other regulation, advised
AMSOIL that it has never denied a warranty claim based on
the use of “improper oil” (2). Furthermore, BRP advised that
it will modify the language of its operator’s guides as follows:
1. It will no longer say that use of oil other than the BRPbranded
product may void the warranty.
2. When it recommends a particular branded product, it will
ensure that the language is clearly identified as a recommendation
rather than a requirement.
3. It will no longer comment on the availability of equivalents
to the BRP brand oil(s).
AMSOIL is publishing this notice to inform the public of this
significant change in BRP’s warranty policy, assure customers
that AMSOIL synthetic lubricants meet or exceed the performance
requirements of BRP engines and ensure that snowmobile
and ATV owners do not mistakenly believe that use of
AMSOIL lubricants will place their warranties at risk.
RECOMMENDATION
For performance specifications and applications, refer to the
product label or data sheet, AMSOIL Powersports Application
Guide (G2135) or the Powersports Online Lookup. The AMSOIL Technical Services
Department can be reached at 715-399-8324 for oil recommendations
regarding Ski-Doo or Can-Am applications.

Motex 2t-sx var ju en som dök upp här i tråden. Vill man köpa på bensinmack så åker man till Preem och köper deras Texaco Snowmobile oil, som är specad Rotax 253.
Det finns absolut fler om man bara orkar söka. Kollade nyss på Castrol, Mobil, Gulf, Statoil, Q8 m.fl. Tyvärr hittade jag inget om dom klarar Rotax 253, men jag tror att deras datablad var out dated. Det skulle förvåna mig om Castrol, Mobil och Gulf, några av världens största bolag på smörjteknik, inte klarar specarna.
Nej! Bondfångeri kallas det som BRP har sysslat med när dom hävdat att enbart XPS får användas för att garantin ska gälla.
Förresten, har dom inte börjat sänka priserna nu när det finns konkurrens?

Köpte 20 liter Teboil helsyntetisk olja i 20 liters dunk före jul, kostade mig 1107 kronor för 20 liter
dvs 55,35 kronor per liter. Helsyntetisk olja & godkänd för Etec, samt rotax 253 godkänd, luktar mindre och har bättre dunk än brp oljan också...ryker gör den inte heller!
Teboil säljs bland annat på Laakapää, har de inte 20 l hemma så kan de ordna hem det gratis, så gjorde de för mig i Skellefteå iaf.
