E-TEC OIL
Customers have a choice when it comes to purchasing oil
for their E-TECs . The E-TEC line of engines were
developed and tested using XPS semi-synthetic blend oil.
Consequently the Engineering specification for the
minimum oil requirement remains the synthetic blend. The
sticker on the oil tank, as well as the Operators Guide,
confirm that specification. That being said, recently an all
new synthetic oil was developed with collaboration
between Rotax engineers, BRP engineers, and the oil
supplier with results that far surpass the semi-synthetic
blend in lubricity and cleanliness. This is known as XPS
Full Synthetic oil and it is definitely a better choice for
those customers demanding a premium oil for all E-TEC's
. It is so good that we decided to use it as the "break-in" oil
of choice for all E-Tec's and even put 3 liters in every 800
E-Tec vehicle being produced regardless of what it costs.
We want to be sure that all ETEC's start life on the best oil
possible. If your customers want the best, have them
choose what the engine starts with. Choose XPS Full
Synthetic.
